This is going to be a short one today, mainly because I want you to go read a post from my friend Brady instead of mine. His second ever substack post was excellent in and of itself - so go read it here - and then subscribe to his project if it resonates with you.
Brady and I worked together pretty closely for about 18 months - I was in a senior/executive role and he was in one of his first career roles. Brady had been given a pretty big role in a hyperscaling business, one that was even fast paced for me. As we interfaced with each other I could tell he was a curious mind and someone with ambition to do well and do more. I like people like that - probably because I’m like that.
That’s really just some backdrop on our relationship and how we know each other. The important piece, the thing I’m so grateful for, is that A Letter For helped inspire Brady to start his own project, explore his own experiences, and write about it every day.
I can’t think of anything more enriching to me personally, than that. That my energy that I put into this, created the spark of energy in Brady to start his own.
On top of that I love what he’s doing and how he’ doing it. It’s authentic and real. It’s the inside of him pouring outward. I think in the current societal environment, the more men (especially younger men) that we can inspire to do something similar will be a huge net positive.
With love and deep appreciation,
Andrew
